- Moving Targets: Exploring the Potential of Motion in Visualization Slides
Motion is both a strong perceptual cue and a conduit of enormously sophisticated communication, but its capacity for perceptual and interpretative scope is as yet incompletely understood in visualization and human-computer interaction. In this talk i will describe research that draws on vision science, art and psychology to explore these areas and discuss how results may be applied in visualization.
Lyn Bartram is an Assistant Professor at the School of Interactive Arts and Technology, SFU. Her research interests include collaboration interfaces and perceptual issues in information visualization.
