Title: Visual Thinking and Spatial Reasoning - Integrating different ways of thinking and perspectives
Abstract:
Visual thinking and spatial reasoning skills are important in creative discovery, and ordinary problem solving. This talk will introduce a series of 2D and 3D exercises include diagramming and sketching as well as computational drawing media, physical as well as computer graphics based three dimensional modeling, and puzzle solving designed to enhance the ability to visualize and reason spatially, Interesting stories about the roles of visual and spatial thinking played in the roles of discovery, and the idea of serious fun and constructive learning in creative environment will be discussed.
